Privacy Policy

How AI for Manufacturing collects, uses, and protects your data.

Last updated: July 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information AI for Manufacturing ("we", "us", "our") collects, why we collect it, and how it is used and protected. By using AI for Manufacturing (the "Site"), you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Newsletter subscriptions

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, optionally, the industry you select. This is used to send you updates about new manufacturing AI case studies, and is stored with our email delivery provider (see "Third-Party Services" below). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Vendor account & profile claims

If you sign in to claim or manage a vendor profile, we collect your email address to send a one-time passcode or magic sign-in link. We do not require a password. Where Google sign-in is enabled, we receive the basic profile information Google shares (name, email) to create your account. Session data is stored to keep you signed in.

Paid listings & payments

If you purchase a paid vendor placement, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card details — Stripe handles payment data directly under its own privacy policy. We retain billing metadata (such as plan tier, subscription status, and transaction identifiers) needed to administer your listing.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites. Plausible collects aggregated, anonymized metrics (such as page views and referrers) that cannot be used to identify you personally.

Vendor submissions & contact forms

If you submit a vendor listing, a case study, or contact us directly, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, and company) to respond to your request and, where applicable, to publish the submitted content.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on the following bases:

  • Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and optional sign-ins.
  • Contract performance — to fulfill a paid listing or subscription you purchased.
  • Legitimate interest — to operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to respond to submissions and inquiries.

Third-Party Services

We share data with the following categories of service providers, only as needed to operate the Site:

  • Stripe — payment processing for paid vendor listings.
  • Resend / Plunk — transactional and newsletter email delivery.
  • Plausible Analytics — cookieless, aggregated website analytics.
  • Neon & Vercel — database hosting and application hosting infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your consent.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above — for example, for the duration of an active newsletter subscription or vendor listing, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see "Your Rights" below).

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent (for example, by unsubscribing from our newsletter).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@aiformanufacturing.org. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children's Privacy

AI for Manufacturing is a B2B resource intended for business professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
